The Outback Air CO2 system is an excellent blend of good looks, power, ease of use, and cost
for almost any trail vehicle...

I ordered my system after leaning towards Powershot for couple months. Reasons that pulled be for
Outback - price, simplicity (being engineer by education i know that simpler thing is - less
parts to be broken) and fact that gas releasing knob on this one is well protected by handle,
while on Powertank/shot system its open for accidental pushed (as its just welded piece of tube).
Basically system providing you with stuff you need, and nothing you dont need. Like all the
mounting hardware isnt included - but then i dont need tank in my truck (I am driving XTerra)
when i am not wheeling.
Only thing you might want to get as extra - is accugauge product - so you wont have to switch
back and fourth while airing up.
I did put it to test last weekend, and it managed to air my 31' mud tires in about 1.40m per
tire from 15 to 32 psi. Way better than timing of any compressor i seen/tried so far (thick
sidewalls and footprint on those M/Ts.. Normally i need to spend about 10-20 mins per tire -
making airing up/down major pain. But now i got Staun deflators to help with airing down :))
Filling tank is only 12$ (total) from my local welding supplies shop - and they filling it up in
about 10-15 mins, while i am wandering about.
Overall - its probably one of best investments i done for my truck so far (along with Staun
deflators, Shrockwork sliders and K&N FIPK2).

I have to say that I am impressed. I have buddies that have under the hood air systems and mine
airs up so much more quickly than theirs.
They are also stuck where they are at if someone ahead or behind them needs air, not me, I just
unlatch my bracket, pull the tank and hike it back or ahead to someone that needs it.
I also like the speed at which mine airs up tires compared to theirs. I can air up my 36x12.5x15
TSL's from about 5 psi to 35 psi in less than 2 minutes per tire. My buddy who has 33's has to
sit forever waiting to get up to 25 or 30 pounds and that's from 8 psi.

I have been putting off getting an onboard air compressor for years now because I never could
decide which would be best for my needs.
After reading several articles on CO2 systems I decide that for the price, it was worth a shot.
I ordered my OutBack CO2 system from the Rockshop and upon recieving it I noticed that this thing
is all business. Quality construction, portability, and ease of use makes this thing very
versatile for all sorts of occasions where an air compressor just wouldn't be feasible.
Finally, I can air down on the trail and not have to worry about where the nearest gas station is
when done wheeling for the day. I can air up my 33X12.50's from 10 psi to 30 psi in just a
couple of minutes. If you've ever used one of those cheap 12vdc compressors they sell at
Wal-Mart, you know how long it takes to air up a tire even 5 psi. This CO2 system is awesome and
priced right. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
